Legolas (played by Orlando Bloom) stars in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogy, however he is not mentioned in the book. He is a wood elf of the wood elf realm, and like most other wood elves he is not as smart as elves of Imladris (Rivendell) and is far more dangerous.
In the Lord of the Rings trilogy Legolas is kind hearted and down to Earth but in the Hobbit hes is impatient and is very mean towards the dwarves. He tries to stop the dwarves on their quest but soon fails, he then follows the dwarves to lake town along side Tauriel.
